Article Sole trader finds network support

I decided to join BNI Bradman as I had recently started my own self employed business working alone after many years of working as an employee of a large company.

I was hoping BNI would provide me with a group of other business people to regularly interact with, to enable me to give support to and receive support from and meet others who over time would become valued and trusted colleagues – it did all that and more!

In a short space of time I have been made to feel so welcome, I look forward to our meetings each week and the buzz of our Friday morning session where we share ideas, experiences, referrals and work together to build the chapter. And it’s not just about a breakfast once a week….. 1-2-1 sessions, training, emails, looking for referral opportunities and ways to help others, all goes on in the background between meetings.

I have been a member of my chapter for just over four months I have received many referrals, easily covering the joining fee and the years membership and am starting to find referrals for others too, this was an area I was worried about initially not having large client base of my own. It’s a great feeling being able to give a referral to someone else.
